Scope

This Cookies notice applies to the Thames Valley Partnership website.

Cookies and how they Benefit You

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse
websites. Our website use cookies, as almost all websites do, to help us provide you with the
best experience we can.

We do not use cookies to collect any information that allows us to identify a visitor.

Granting us permission to use cookies

If the settings on the software that you are using to view our website (your browser) are
adjusted to accept cookies we take this, and your continued use of our website, to mean that
you consent to our use of cookies as described below.

More about our Cookies

Anonymous visitor statistics cookies

With the help of Google Analytics, we use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many
people have visited our website, what types of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows,
desktop or smartphone), how long they spend on the site, what page they look at, etc. This
helps us to continuously improve our website. The data we collect in this way is anonymised,
making it impossible for us (or Google) to derive any personal information.

Social media cookies

So that you can easily “Like” or share our content on social media such as Facebook and Twitter
we have included sharing buttons on our site. These buttons will not set cookies if you are not
logged into the social media and don’t click the buttons. However, clicking on one of them will
take you to the social media site which will set cookies according to its own cookie policy. The
privacy implications of this will vary from site to site and will be dependent on the privacy
settings you have chosen on those sites. If, for example, you are logged into Facebook you
may find that Facebook sets a cookie and tracks your viewing of our page, even if you do not
click the button.

Third party cookies

A “third-party” cookie is one which is set by a website other than the one you are currently
viewing. As far as possible, we do not allow the setting of third-party cookies. However, it may
sometimes be necessary to permit them in order to use a service provided by a third-party
website, such as viewing a video. On pages where this occurs, we will ask for your explicit
consent first. If we don’t ask for consent, it is because we have established that the service in
question will not set a third-party cookie.

Turning Cookies Off

Turning off cookies altogether will limit what you can do on many websites. However, if your
main concern is to stop your website usage being monitored by advertisers and other third
parties, you can go a long way towards achieving this by turning on the Do Not Track option
and disabling third-party cookies, in your browser. You can learn how to do this here.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. When you click on one of these
links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over the destination
website. You should exercise caution and review the privacy or cookie policy of the website in
question.
